About this role
The Pima County Health Department Women Infants and Children (WIC) program seeks a motivated and team-oriented IBCLC for this part-time role. You will provide specialized breastfeeding education to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers enrolled in the Arizona Supplemental WIC Program. As lead staff, you assist breastfeeding peer counselors with cases beyond their scope of work.
Coordinate program activities, timelines, and resources to ensure efficient execution. Collaborate with program managers to develop project plans and meet goals. Track progress, milestones, and deliverables, including grant contracts.
Collect, organize, and analyze data on program performance, outcomes, and impact. Support community outreach and participate in public health education activities. Lead engagement efforts, including needs assessments and partnership development.
Join a diverse work group in a fast-paced environment requiring excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills. Assist in budget management, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions. This grant-funded position ends September 2028.
Requirements
- IBCLC credentials or certification
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, public administration, public health, healthcare administration or a related field
- Two years of experience coordinating, monitoring, and/or administering public health program activities
- Excellent interpersonal communication and listening skills
- Relevant professional level experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted
- Four years of experience in Public Health Policy Analyst I, Public Health Educator I or II, Public Health Navigator, Public Health Program Specialist or related professional administrative roles

Benefits
- Hiring Range: $52,251 - $62,701 Annually
- Pay Range: $52,251 - $73,151 Annually
- Grant-funded position ending September 2028
