This role leads in patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. It effectively delegates, directs, and assists team members while assuming accountability for quality outcomes. The position exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions.

Daily duties involve assessing learning needs and implementing teaching strategies for diverse patient groups. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources as a leader on the interdisciplinary team. Use data to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes while adapting to specific patient populations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • IBCLC certification
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Provides lactation support, breastfeeding education, and assessment for mothers and infants
