About this role
The opportunity has become available for a Clinical Midwifery Manager to join the team in Private and Gynaecology. This role provides clinical leadership, effective management, and responsibility for standards of nursing practice. It ensures monitoring of client and patient care for safe, effective, and efficient service provision.
The position delivers operational and management support across all areas of service delivery. This includes a 30-bed inpatient Obstetric and Gynaecology Ward, four birth suites, assessment room, and triage area. Daily focus centers on maintaining high clinical standards in midwifery and maternity care.

Requirements
- Eligible for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Demonstrated well developed leadership and management skills that influence and progresses clinical care, policy, and collaboration
- Extensive clinical and professional knowledge in midwifery and gynaecology that evidences expert clinical skills
- Extensive knowledge and application of human resource principles including budgeting
- Demonstrated well developed skills and experience in quality improvement and the development of new systems of care
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and effective management in midwifery
- Maintain standards of nursing practice and monitor patient care
- Ensure safe, effective, and efficient service provision
- Deliver operational and management support across obstetric and gynaecology ward
- Oversee four birth suites, assessment room, and triage area
- Influence clinical care, policy development, and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Apply human resource principles including budgeting
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and develop new systems of care
