About this role
Aeroflow Health prioritizes customers, community, and coworkers in the home health products industry. The Mom and Baby Education Provider Group includes over 50 providers supporting pregnant and postpartum mothers via virtual classes on lactation, pumping, baby care, birth prep, infant sleep, nutrition, high risk situations, and perinatal mental health. This remote role improves breastfeeding rates and enhances mothering experiences.
Teach and facilitate classes on pregnancy and postpartum topics while seeing patients for one-on-one appointments with skilled clinical care. Chart visits and maintain records per payor requirements and Aeroflow guidelines. Support normal physiologic functions in the maternal-infant process and provide evidence-based information following Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols.
Attend team and departmental administrative and clinical meetings as a trusted resource for teamwork. Work from home in your home state with regular evening and weekend availability set monthly. Join a department preparing the next generation of parents to gently respond to their babies.
Enhance professional development through assigned clinical courses, workshops, exams, and current literature. Keep provider licenses, certifications, and continuing education up-to-date. Follow company handbook, department manual, HIPAA confidentiality, and compliance policies as a condition of employment.
Share knowledge by assisting with clinical documentation, leading team trainings, social media projects, moderating Facebook group, practice case studies, and attending conferences. Play a role in better health outcomes for mothers and babies. Advance in a stable, ethical company equipped to meet professional goals.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience in lactation support including internship, clinical rotation, or supervised practice preferred
- Provider licenses and/or certifications with up-to-date continuing education
- Knowledge of Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols and Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Code of Ethics
- Ability to provide education on lactation, pumping, baby care, birth prep, infant sleep, nutrition, high risk situations, and perinatal mental health
- Regular evening and weekend availability each week
- Work from home in home state at all times
- Appraised of current clinical literature
Responsibilities
- Teach and facilitate classes on a broad range of topics in the pregnancy and postpartum period
- See patients for one-on-one appointments while providing high quality, skilled clinical care
- Chart visits and maintain accurate records according to payor requirements
- Support and advocate for the normal physiologic functions involved in the maternal-infant process
- Provide patients evidence-based clinical information following Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols
