The Mom and Baby Education Provider Group of over 50 providers supports pregnant and postpartum mothers through virtual classes on lactation, pumping, baby care, birth prep, infant sleep, nutrition, high risk situations, and perinatal mental health. This work-from-home role improves breastfeeding rates and mothering satisfaction.

Teach and facilitate classes on pregnancy and postpartum topics including lactation support. See patients for one-on-one appointments providing high quality, skilled clinical care. Chart visits and maintain accurate records according to payor requirements and Aeroflow guidelines.

Support and advocate for normal physiologic functions in the maternal-infant process. Attend team and departmental administrative and clinical meetings. Be a trusted resource advocating for teamwork and strong working relationships.

Enhance professional development through assigned clinical courses, workshops, exams, and current literature. Share knowledge by assisting with clinical documentation, leading team trainings, social media projects, and attending conferences. Maintain licenses, certifications, HIPAA confidentiality, and compliance with policies.

Requirements

2+ years experience in lactation support including internship and clinical
Provider licenses and/or certifications with up-to-date continuing education
Knowledge of Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols
Familiarity with Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ Code of Ethics
Current awareness of clinical literature in lactation and maternity care
Ability to provide evidence-based clinical information
Regular availability for evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

Teach and facilitate classes on a broad range of topics in the pregnancy and postpartum period
See patients for one-on-one appointments while providing high quality, skilled clinical care

Provide patients evidence-based clinical information following the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Protocols
