About this role

Under the supervision of the Medical Group Director of Operations, the MGP Practice Manager ensures efficient operations of the medical practice(s) on a day-to-day basis. Maintains professionalism and strict confidentiality while working within UVMHN - Central Vermont Medical Center policies and procedures. Collaborates with multiple professionals to support patient-centered care management.

Serves as dyad partner with the Medical Director to uphold the highest standards of patient care. Ensures responsiveness to needs of patients, families, and the organization. Acts as primary contact for providers in the practice.

Manages administrative staff and leads nursing staff in conjunction with MGP Nursing Leadership. Creates and empowers teams to embrace and implement change. Improves clinical, operational, and financial performance of the practice.

Responsible for the physical practice location 24/7. Operates from CVMC - Medical Office Building A at 130 Fisher Road, Berlin, Vermont. Supports Ob/Gyn, Midwifery, and Neurology specialties in a full-time day shift role.

Requirements

  • Experience ensuring efficient day-to-day operations in multi-specialty medical practices
  • Ability to collaborate in dyad leadership with Medical Directors
  • Supervisory skills for managing administrative staff in healthcare settings
  • Leadership capabilities for directing nursing staff alongside nursing leadership
  • Knowledge of patient-centered care provision and management
  • Proficiency in maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism
  • Competence in driving clinical, operational, and financial improvements
  • Responsibility for 24/7 oversight of physical practice locations
